An iceberg is a great picture of performance. A very significant amount of time goes into what is not seen in preparing for a performance as opposed to the very brief actual time the performance is seen. With an overwhelming amount of detail to prepare, it is helpful to have a second set of ears and eyes to evaluate performance and offer immediate feedback to get the most out of a rehearsal. Many times, a second voice echoing the director’s instruction helps reinforce the director’s feedback. Other times a different perspective from an outside source can identify previously unknown performance issues as well offer alternative solutions to known issues.

Whatever the format and skill level is, Mr. White can provide this valuable second perspective at a reasonable cost. He has worked with and directed elementary, middle and high school bands. Mr. White has also worked with and directed middle and high school jazz bands. Mr. White has also worked with nationally competitive high school marching bands and even a top 12 drum & bugle corps. His experience judging instrumental music ensembles brings the perspective of what elements of performance judges are listening for and the criterion to achieve mastery of those elements.
